Medication Management

Residential Medication Management Reviews (RMMR)

Medication needs can become increasingly complex as people age. EHS works alongside aged care providers, GPs and care teams to identify medication-related risks, support informed clinical decisions and help residents get the greatest benefit from their medicines.

What is an RMMR?

Our Credentialed Pharmacists review each resident's medicines and clinical information to identify areas such as:

  • Unwanted side effects or potential medication-related harm
  • Medicines that may no longer be required
  • Potential interactions between medicines
  • Medicines requiring additional monitoring
  • Opportunities to improve the safe and effective use of medicines

Findings and recommendations are provided to the resident's GP who will determine any appropriate actions.

What this means for you

For providers

For residents
& their families

It means greater confidence that medicines are being regularly and expertly reviewed, helping ensure they remain appropriate, effective and safe.
